About Sergio Dias

A resident of Oregon since 1979, Sergio Dias has a strong commitment to the well being, both economical and environmental, of the Pacific Northwest.

“I believe the Northwest can thrive if we can find the healthy balance between our desire to expand and our desire to protect our environment.  It will require a deep change in the way we approach solutions but is a challenge leaders in the Northwest are ready to accept.”

In 2001 Mr. Dias left a highly successful career in the hi-tech sector to apply his skills and knowledge to what was then a relatively unknown field, renewable energy and energy efficiency.  In 2006 he joined the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance and launched the region’s first industry-wide effort through a unique partnerships with the Northwest Food Processor Association and the US Department of Energy.

Now Mr. Dias dedicates his work to ensuring the region’s industry trade groups take a leadership role in helping solve the energy and climate issues that face the country.

“The Northwest is unique in that a vast majority of its industry executives and employees live, work and play in the Northwest.  Every individual I’ve had the privilege of working with, whether executive, management or line staff, cares about the quality of the air they breath, the water they drink and the food they eat.  Given the opportunity and support, industry will be at the forefront- finding solutions to the problems we face and working hand in hand with government, utilities and non-profit organizations.”

With strong speaking, leadership, facilitation, planning and business skills, Mr. Dias leads programs that are both visionary and effective.
